Amber Perkovich, Aqua Tech. Dipl.

Amber Perkovich is a graduate of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Technical Program at Malaspina University-College. During her training she gained experience in finfish and shellfish aquaculture, laboratory scientific methods and participated in projects including sea urchin feeding regimes, urchin larval culture and shellfish filtration studies.

After her graduation, Amber worked with the Centre for Shellfish Research on the Shellfish Culture and Particulate Production and Cycling Project performing field work and as a laboratory technician conducting water chemistry analysis, and benthic/planktonic organism identification.

Amber is responsible for the “front office” of BRC and acts as liaison for clients of North Island Laboratories, dispensing guidance on water quality analysis. Amber’s duties as research assistant include literature research, data analysis, laboratory procedures as well as technical assistance in the field.
